Soul2Soul Vibrations Hypnotherapy Services
As a certified hypnotherapist in Integral Hypnotherapy®, I am dedicated to helping individuals achieve personal growth, and improve their overall well-being through using the power of their mind and the practice of self-hypnosis. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking positive change in their lives.
What is Integral Hypnotherapy®?
Hypnotherapy, in general, is a type of complementary therapy that utilizes hypnosis to induce a state of deep relaxation and focused attention. In this relaxed state, known as trance, individuals are more open to therapeutic suggestions and imagery and can access their subconscious mind. Through therapeutic suggestions, positive affirmations, and imagery, hypnotherapy aims to address a wide range of issues. An individual is always in control, remembers everything about the process and can come out of hypnosis at any time.
Integral Hypnotherapy® is an approach to hypnotherapy that uses a wholistic, client-centered method, integrating various techniques to address the full spectrum of an individual’s needs—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual or mind, body, spirit.
How does hypnosis work?
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness in which a person is alert and in full control of their own words and actions at all times.
The human brain receives messages from four sources:
- External environment such as weather, news, jobs, music, relationships and everyday surroundings.
- Internal environment (our bodies) such as tensions, movements, digestive activities, pain or discomfort, and related matters.
- The conscious mind which includes the critical factor (inner chatter box) analysis/logic, deductive/inductive reasoning, will/intention, decision-making and factors that influence us consciously.
- The subconscious mind receives and holds, programming received from authority figures, peer groups, when in high emotional states, repetitive messages (positive or negative), plus conflicts that enter our consciousness. It is where imagination, memories, beliefs (limiting or positive) and emotions are stored. It influences our body and autonomic systems and is an association making mechanism. All these imprints from all of our life experiences as well as our feelings and reactions to those experiences affect our personalities, our relationships and our daily lives.
Hypnosis naturally relaxes the conscious mind’s critical factor (gate keeper) which allows access to the subconscious mind where attitude, behavior and other positive programming can be achieved. The experience is enjoyable, relaxing and effective. By definition, “hypnosis is a natural state of mind with numerous beneficial characteristics: for example, an extraordinary quality of relaxation and increased responsiveness to suggestions. When in hypnosis, people tend to feel physically relaxed and mentally present”.
What is involved in a hypnotherapy session?
During a hypnotherapy session, I work in collaboration with clients otherwise referred to as a “co-therapist” to understand their goals and individual needs. Together, we create a customized plan tailored to address specific goals wanting to achieve and promote positive outcomes.
How Hypnotherapy Works
- Goal Setting
- The initial session is dedicated to an in-depth interview and defining a specific goal, designing a concrete action step to achieve your goal, therapeutic suggestions, affirmations, and imagery to help support achievement. Goals can be:
- Personal goals (e.g., health, relationships, hobbies).
- Professional goals (e.g., career advancement, skill development).
- Emotional and psychological goals (e.g., stress reduction, self-confidence).
- The initial session is dedicated to an in-depth interview and defining a specific goal, designing a concrete action step to achieve your goal, therapeutic suggestions, affirmations, and imagery to help support achievement. Goals can be:
- Induction
- The process begins with inducing a hypnotic state. As the hypnotherapist, I use various techniques such as deep breathing, guided relaxation, and focused attention to help you enter a trance-like state. This state is characterized by deep relaxation and heightened concentration. You are always in control and can self-release out of the trance state at any time.
- Therapeutic Suggestions and Imagery Techniques
- Suggestion Therapy and Imagery: While you are in the hypnotic state, I will deliver the collaborative suggestions, affirmations and imagery aimed at changing specific behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. For example, suggestions might be made to help someone with smoking cessation, weight loss, or manage worrying.
- Analytical Hypnotherapy: This involves exploring past events and experiences that may be affecting your current behavior and emotions. This technique helps you uncover and address the root causes of your limiting beliefs.
- Self-Hypnosis: During your first session, you will be taught how to use this powerful technique on your own. By integrating self-hypnosis into your daily routine, you can unlock numerous benefits that enhance your mental, emotional, and physical well-being, while also supporting your personal and professional growth and quicker achievement of your goal.
- De-Hypnotising
- After all the suggestions, affirmations and imagery have been delivered and you have no questions about the session, I will guide you to count yourself out of the hypnotic state, and this will bring you back to full awareness.
- Integration
- After the hypnotherapy session has completed, the hypnotherapist (me) and co-therapist (you) will discuss the experiences and any insights gained during the session. I will then provide accelerators (self-hypnosis and other strategies) for you to incorporation the session’s benefits into your daily life.
Confidentiality and Ethics
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in Integral Hypnotherapy®. As a certified hypnotherapist, I adhere to strict ethical standards and guidelines to ensure the privacy and well-being of my co-therapist. Your personal information and session content will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and respect.
